Meaning of Home: Creative writing contest
Habitat Canada recently launched its annual Meaning of Home campaign; a creative writing contest for children in grades 4, 5, and 6. For each entry, Sagen (a mortgage insurance company ) donates $10 to local Habitat affiliates across the country.
This is a really great way to engage children in giving back to their community that doesn’t require a financial contribution. They simply need a pencil and paper or access to a computer. Locally, we reach out to schools to encourage their participation, however, children can participate independently at home.
Every donation helps us build homes
You don’t have to lift a hammer to help. By donating used furniture, old kitchens, appliances, or electronics, you help Habitat build more homes in our community.
Whether shopping in our ReStore or scheduling a free furniture donation pickup, every bit helps.
